QQI Certificate in General Learning Level 3 – Course Introduction

​

• Approximate equivalent to Junior Certificate

• For young people who did not sit/complete their Junior Certificate

• Gains entry into: QQI Cert in Learning (Level 4) and certain Apprenticepships

• Mandatory modules: Maths, Communications, IT (Information Technology), Catering, Digital Photography, Health Related Fitness, Art, and PIPS (Personal and Interpersonal Skills)

QQI Certificate in General Learning Level 4 – Course Introduction

• Approximate equivalent to Leaving Certificate (Ordinary Level)

• For learners who have sat/completed their Junior Cert OR QQI Cert in Learning (Level 3)*

• Gains access into: Apprenticeships, PLCs/Post-Leaving Certificate courses (which then gain entry into university-level education)

• Mandatory modules: Maths, Communications, IT (Information Technology), Work Experience, Drama, Interculturalism, Travel & Tourism, Personal Effectiveness, Health Related Fitness, Art and PIPS (Personal and Interpersonal Skills)

QQI Level 5 – Beauty Modules – Course Introduction

 

We offer two Beauty modules at QQI Level 5 for students who have completed their full QQI Level 4 Certificate in General Learning/sat a Leaving Certificate. Although mainly predominantly based in the Beauty Room, these learners also take part in a small number of QQI Level 4 modules, such as Travel & Tourism and Photography. The Beauty Modules allow students to experience the step up to studying Level 5 modules before attending a PLC.​
