"Further Education is a Stepping Stone..."

We were thrilled to see this fantastic article published in The Irish Times recently, which tells Jacob's story about his path via further education to his chosen university course.

This article elaborates on how further education is not only a viable option that can lead to university and higher education, but also what a enjoyable environment and learning culture these institutions offer prospective students.

We're big advocates of how non-mainstream educational options are an excellent alternative to the more traditional Leaving Certificate route. Here at Youthreach NGGS, we offer QQI Level 3 and Level 4 programmes, which are roughly equivalent to the Junior Cert and Leaving Cert respectively, although the programme content and delivery are different.

Upon completing a QQI Level 4 Certificate, our students can attend any PLC (Post-Leaving Certificate) across Ireland and from there enter into higher education or university if they wish to do so. This opens up a world of options to Youthreach students, and provides a viable education path for those who do not want to go down the mainstream school route.
